    The English Life Academy is an online learning community offering live small-group English classes, pre-recorded courses, and interactive learning materials (e.g. webinars, challenges, quizzes) to help students improve fluency, pronunciation, grammar, and more.

They are all experienced, native English speakers from the UK, Canada, the US, or South Africa, and they genuinely care about your growth. Tailored Learning: After you join, we offer a free 1:1 consultation to understand your level, your goals, and how you learn best, so we can guide you on the ideal path. Flexibility That Works for You: Classes run multiple times a day, so you can fit your learning around your life. Not the other way around. We do not believe in generic lessons or random tutors.   • Who are the teachers?
    Our teachers are native English speakers with years of experience. Currently, our team includes Emma (UK), Xante (South Africa), Benjamin (UK), Bethany (Canada), Stephania (UK) and Carla (South Africa).
  • Do you offer support if I need help?
    Of course! Every Academy member can send us a private message whenever they have a question. You can also use our community chat forum to share any doubts you might have as other members can also help you or learn from your questions. We put a lot of effort into understanding your needs and are always open for having a chat with you to help you personalise your learning experience. This is also the reason why we have a call with every new member, to understand how we can help them and be there for them if they have any questions or doubts.
  • What is your refund policy?
    We do not offer refunds once a membership has started, but you can pause or adjust your membership if needed.
  • How many people are there in each class?
    The maximum number of students per class is 4. We want your English learning to be as personalised as possible and for that we want to ensure that you are always able to speak to your teacher and get feedback, this works best in small groups.
  • How do I know which class is right for me?
    When you sign up, we assess your level and goals in a free consultation call to recommend the best classes for you.
  • Who will be my teacher?
    We have a wonderful team of experienced native English teachers from around the world. Each teacher has their own area of expertise, including business English, pronunciation, fluency, grammar and more. You’ll be in great hands! You can learn more about our teachers here.
  • How many classes can I join?
    It depends on the membership you choose. Here is a breakdown of the amount of classes you can join depending on your membership: Essentials Pro - 1 class per week Elite - 2 classes per week VIP - no class limit Explore our membership options here
  • How do I sign up to a class?
    You sign up yourself in the calendar section of our academy. We kindly ask you to RSVP when you plan to join a class, as there is a limit of four students. If you have any questions about how the platform works, we will organise a video call to explain everything to you.
  • What happens if I cannot join a class?
    We try to offer classes at different times throughout the day to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to join. If none of the available classes fit your schedule, please let us know, and we will try to accommodate you. You can also always watch the class recordings, which are available exclusively to academy members.
  • Can I choose my own schedule?
    Yes! You can join any class that fits your availability from the options provided each week.
  • Will you renew my subscription automatically?
    Yes, your subscription will be automatically renewed according to your payment period, whether monthly, quarterly, or yearly.
  • Can I cancel my subscription at anytime?
    Sure. You can cancel your subscription at any time in your settings.
  • Do you offer any discounts?
    Usually, we do not. However, there are sometimes special offers for certain moments of the year. You can always stay updated with the latest news by subscribing to our free newsletter or checking out our Instagram page.
  • Is there a free trial?
    We don’t offer free trials, but you can join a free consultation call to ask questions and see if our academy is right for you.
  • Can I change my membership plan later?
    Yes! You can upgrade or adjust your plan whenever needed.
